Loretta Lynn werkte zich op van The Coalminer's Daughter tot The First Lady Of Country Music. Alweer 12 jaar geleden maakte ze met Jack White het album Van Lear Rose, waardoor de jongste generatie deze heldin (ook) leerde kennen. Voor Full Circle riep Loretta de hulp in van John Carter Cash, zoon van The Man In Black, die koos voor een meer traditionele benadering. Leeftijd- en genregenoot Willie Nelson doet mee op afsluiter 'Lay Me Down', en ook Elvis Costello komt langs in 'Everything It Takes'. Maar het is vooral Loretta Lynn zelf die nog steeds overtuigt en haar troon nog lang niet afgeeft.
