Deze box bevat een verzameling van het vroege werk van Sam Cooke als solo-artiest na zijn, meer gospel georiënteerde, werk met de Soul Stirrers. Zijn solo albumdebuut (Songs by) Sam Cooke werd uitgebracht in 1958 en zijn tweede album Encore volgde snel. Tribute To The Lady is een eerbetoon aan Billie Holiday en bevat in deze box zowel de mono-mix als de stereo-versie. Hit Kit en The Wonderful World Of Same Cooke bevatten z’n  vroege hits waaronder (What A) Wonderful World. Deze 2 platen bevatten zowel mono- als stereo-mixen , b-kantjes en bonusmateriaal. De box bevat in totaal 15 bonustracks en komt inclusief een boekwerkje met nieuwe liner-notes en niet eerder gepubliceerde foto’s.
