Voor dit album stelde de internationaal gerenommeerde pianiste Alice Sara Ott een persoonlijke selectie samen van de meest geliefde werken van de overleden IJslandse componist Jóhann Jóhannsson, speciaal herbewerkt voor solo piano. In deze première-opnames brengt Ott de pianoversies van Jóhannssons muziek tot leven en weet zij de verstilde intensiteit, melancholie en meditatieve kracht van zijn composities op indringende wijze te vangen. Het album bevat bewerkingen van enkele van zijn meest iconische stukken, afkomstig uit films als The Theory of Everything en Personal Effects, evenals uit invloedrijke studioalbums zoals Orphée en Englabörn.
